WARMTH’s major meeting this year is the ICRT-2019, August 21-25, in Nanjing, China, organized by Feng Wang, Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the Nanjing University. You will find detailed information on our website. We express our sincere gratitude to the Editor-in-Chief, Qaisar Siraj for publishing the Abstracts of the ICRT-2019 in our World Journal of Nuclear Medicine in time! In short, the Executive and Governing Board Meeting (Room 723, 7th Floor) will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 05:30-06:30 p.m. right before the Welcome Reception (Baihua Hall, 2nd Floor).

The year 2019 is rolling on and we are looking forward to meeting many of you soon again at our ICRT-2019 to be held in Nanjing, China. We are fortunate to be part of an exciting team and to continue our service to WARMTH as President and President-Elect.

On this March 31st we celebrate with you on the first World “Theragnostics Day” celebrating the day in 1941 when the first radio iodine treatment was administered by Dr. Saul Hertz at Massachusetts General Hospital. The current issue of the WJNM reflects on this historic first treatment and the continuing innovations in the field of Theragnostics. WARMTH celebrates Theragnotstics Day with a “g” as an article by our colleagues in the EJNMMI points out "“theragnostics” is the better term with its emphasis on knowledge” Frangos, S. & Buscombe, J.R. WARMTH`s major meeting this year is the ICRT-2019. The Congress President of the ICRT-2019 is Feng Wang, Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the Nanjing Medical University, has already started to build a unique platform for our meeting in Nanjing. The State-of-the-Art of radiopharmaceutical and molecular therapy and its clinical translation will extensively be discussed during the ICRT-2019 and will certainly promote Nuclear Therapy in China. Furthermore, the ICRT-2019 will not only promote the field of "Theragnostics" in China but will also promote the tremendous development of nuclear therapy all over the world! We heartily invite all of you once again to come to Nanjing, China, meet with WARMTH friends, contribute to the WARMTH ICRT-2019 and share also your experience at our exciting scientific as well as social programme. We are now opening the Abstract submission process with a tentative deadline of April 30, 2019, we sincerely hope that you will submit your scientific contribution. On our WARMTH website you will also find more information regarding the visa application for the congress. Please be informed that our annual 2019 members assembly will be held on August 24 and we look forward to meeting you all there!

WARMTH retrospective scientific studies are ongoing. We believe that one of WARMTH unique possibilities is to gather scientific data world-wide and speed up the process of theragnostic development. For both studies (177Lu-PSMA617 and Ga SSTR and FDG PET/CT in NETS) our under the lead of Hojat Ahmadzadehfar (Germany) and Margarida Rodrigues (Austria), retrospectively, you will find detailed information on our website (you must be a current member to access). Both studies are open for data contribution to all our distinguished WARMTH members.

Qaisar Siraj (Kuwait) has been appointed as the new Editor-in-chief of our World Journal of Nuclear Medicine as of 1st Jan 2019. The number of publications including original articles and case reports have increased, the reviewer’s database has been expanded and has been quadrupled to reduce the processing time and all accepted original articles are being planned to be printed online as ahead of print with unique DOI to allow authors timely credit for their original research work.

As 2018 is rolling on, I am looking forward to continue my service to WARMTH as President. I am fortunate to be part of our exciting team working with enthusiastic people in directing WARMTH with the goal to maintain our phenomenal success since its early childhood under our Founder, the late Doctor Ajit Padhy, Singapore, our Past Presidents Professor Harvey Turner, Perth, AU, Professor Richard Baum, Bad Berka, Germany, and Professor Suresh Srivastava, Brookehaven, US. From “childhood” to entering “adulthood”, WARMTH has faced various problems over the last years, which, by the grace of God, we are overcoming step-by-step. I cordially thank all of you!
